Cedar Hill sits on the White Rock escarpment, where limestone comes close to the surface under a layer of clay. Hillside lots move water fast, and a slab that is not graded and drained for that will be undermined along its downhill edge.
We plan grades and drainage first, compact the base properly on both clay and rock, and use retaining walls, thickened edges and reinforcement where the slope calls for them.
